About General Posting
General Posting is an independent Australian consumer publication. We publish practical, readable articles for people making ordinary decisions — about money, health, home, work, travel, food, cars, study and what to do with their time.
What we do
The site is built around four things:
- Read — editorial and contributed articles across ten subject areas.
- Offers — a checked selection of genuine consumer discounts and promotions.
- Comment — short polls and questions where readers tell us what they think.
- Insights — what we learn from those answers, published openly.
Who writes for us
General Posting accepts contributed articles. Anyone can submit; not everything is published. Submissions are reviewed against our Contributor Guidelines before they go live, and we remove material that turns out to fall short of them.
We are a small operation and we would rather say that plainly than imply a newsroom we do not have. Our Editorial Policy sets out how we decide what runs.
How we are funded
Advertising, affiliate commission on some of the links in Offers, and paid partnerships that are labelled as such. Commercial arrangements do not buy editorial coverage. See our Affiliate Disclosure and Advertise & Partner pages.
