Packaging types

Primary: Primary packaging refers to the layer of packaging that directly comes into contact with the product. Its purpose is to offer preservation, containment, and protection of the product during use, storage, and transportation. Primary packaging types include bottles, tubes, jars and envelopes.

Secondary: The second type is the packaging layer surrounding the primary packaging to provide additional protection, convenience, and marking. It can include cardboard boxes, boxes, shrink wrap, and labels and often displays product information, instructions, and branding. Secondary packaging is important for logistics and marketing purposes.

Tertiary: Refers to packaging used to transport and store large quantities of products or primary and secondary packaging groups. Like, chilled Packaging it protects during transportation, storage and handling and facilitates logistics processes such as palletizing and warehousing. Tertiary packaging types include pallets, boxes, and containers.

Types of industrial packaging

Level platforms used for merchandise stacking and transportation are pallets. Among other materials, pallets can be built of wood, plastic, or metal.
Among the items moved in boxes constructed of wood, plastic, or metal are food, medications, and electronics.
Bags carry a lot of stuff, including grains, sugar, and cement.
Protective packaging: This category comprises materials such as foam, bubble wrap, and padded envelopes. Sensitive and breakable items are protected in transit by these materials. Flexible packaging is any of a number of materials, including films and bags, used to package and move food products, including pet food and other consumer goods.

These are just a few examples of the many types of industrial packaging. The choice of packaging will depend on the type of product being transported, its fragility, and the method used. Palletizing is organizing and stacking products on a pallet stably and securely. Palletizing is commonly used in warehousing, distribution, and shipping operations to efficiently handle and transport large quantities of products.

What does palletization consist of?

The process involves placing products on a pallet in a specific arrangement that maximizes stability, minimizes damage and optimizes the use of space.   This helps distribute the weight of the products evenly, minimizing the risk of products shifting or tipping over during transport.
